Commit to seeking joy ..
Commit to seeking joy ..
Easy to say. Hey, it’s just four words.
Most feelings can be summed up in a few short words. Grief, as complicated as it is, can also be summarised with just a few words, looks, gestures.
We swear, we do ! We sigh, cry & each have our own personal unique to us, ways of taking a slice out of our time to … well, feel grief.
My personal space … where I talk to myself, sing (badly), cry, laugh, listen & think … about the path I find myself on, the change, the never agains, the whole complex web of widowhood.
A road trip last week to an event, where I would meet new people, get inspired, have time out, learn & listen. Was a chance to again, fear. Yes, fear … it’s a regular feature in life, is it not. It’s natural, questioning if we can do this next thing, this new place, this next step.
Four words …
Yes we absolutely can. 👌 🫶
So, you see, the myriad of feelings can in the end be coated, secured with four little words. To set us off.
My favourite four will always be …
Commit to seeking JOY.
Regardless of what urghhhh is going down, how messy it feels.
We CAN seek joy.
